Creditsand refunds

What happens to your credits and your money, in plain language.

Failed generations are refunded

If a generation fails, the credits it cost go straight back to your balance, automatically. Nothing for you to claim. Both entries show up in your credit history, so a failure is never a silent loss.

Every generation also shows its exact credit cost before you run it, and your history records what each one cost.

Which credits expire

  • Top-up packs never expire. They stay in your balance until you spend them.
  • Subscription credits reset each billing cycle. Unused monthly credits are not carried over, and they are spent before your top-up credits.

Refunds for purchases

Top-up purchases are final and non-refundable. Canceling a subscription stops future renewals but does not refund the current period. These are the rules in our Terms of Service, which are the authoritative version.

EU and EEA consumers have a legal right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days, which can be waived only with your express consent at checkout. If you think something was charged in error, email support@shadowteck.com.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to my credits if a generation fails?

They are refunded automatically. The charge and the refund both appear in your credit history (Settings > Credits), so you can see exactly what happened.

Do I get credits back if I don't like a result?

No. A generation that completes is charged, because the model did the work. AI output can be unpredictable, which is why the exact cost is shown before you generate and why the prompt assistant and style presets exist.

Which credits expire?

Credits you buy in top-up packs never expire. A subscription's monthly allowance resets each billing cycle and unused monthly credits are not carried over. Subscription credits are spent first.

Can I get my money back for a top-up pack?

Top-up purchases are final and non-refundable under our Terms of Service.

Can I get a refund if I cancel a subscription?

Canceling stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period. See the next section for the EU and EEA withdrawal right.

I'm in the EU or EEA. Do I have a withdrawal right?

Under the Consumer Rights Directive you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Because a subscription gives instant access, that right can only be waived if you expressly consent beforehand and acknowledge losing it, which is what the checkbox at checkout asks. Without it, checkout does not proceed.
