How to write a script for an AI voiceover

How to prepare text for a voiceover: write for the ear, choose a voice and a delivery style, set the speed, and check the cost, which depends on character count.

Step by step

  1. Write for the ear

Use short sentences and plain words, and read the script aloud once. If it is awkward to say, it will be awkward to hear.

  2. Proofread the exact text

Your text is spoken exactly as written, so fix typos and punctuation before you generate. The prompt assistant does not rewrite voiceover text, because that would change the words that are spoken.

  3. Choose a voice

Pick a voice from the library. Try a short line first to hear how it reads.

  4. Pick a delivery style

Choose a delivery style instead of describing the tone in the script: cheerful, excited, whispering, serious, sad, angry, sarcastic, and curious.

  5. Set speed, stability and style

Speed ranges from 0.7x to 1.2x. Stability and style are sliders you can adjust.

  6. Check the cost and generate

Voiceover is priced by character count: about 1 credits for 100 characters, 2 for 500 and 4 for 1000. The exact cost is shown before you generate.

Why cost follows length

The credit cost is based on the number of characters in your text, so trimming the script before you generate saves credits. Splitting a long script into sections also makes it easier to fix one line without regenerating all of it.

Pairing a voiceover with video

Video models can generate ambience and effects natively, but not dialogue. Generate the voiceover separately and combine it with your clip in your video editor.

How is a voiceover priced?

By the number of characters in your text. For example 500 characters costs 2 credits. The exact cost is shown before you generate.

Will the prompt assistant rewrite my script?

No. Enhance is not offered for voiceover, because your text is the exact words that are spoken and rewriting it would change them.

What delivery styles are available?

Cheerful, excited, whispering, serious, sad, angry, sarcastic, and curious.
