How credits work

Where credits come from, which ones expire, what each generation costs, and where to see your balance.

The basics

Everything you generate is paid for in credits. Every generation shows its exact credit cost before you run it, and the cost depends on the model, the resolution and, for video and audio, the length. Your balance is shown in the app header, and every change to it is listed under Settings > Credits.

Where credits come from

  • Subscription credits. A plan grants an allowance each billing period. Unused subscription credits do not carry over to the next period.
  • Top-up packs. One-time credit packs, available to any account. They never expire.

Which credits are spent first

Subscription credits are spent before top-up credits, so the credits that expire are used up first and the ones that don't are kept for later.

If something goes wrong

A failed generation is refunded automatically and the refund shows in your credit history. See what to do if a generation fails and credits and refunds for the money-refund rules. Plans and pack prices are on the pricing page.
